Phase 4 After Thoughts

I really didn't get a chance for the work to really develop in more detail. This is one thing that's definitely lacking on this project. However the few transformations that were done by my friends showed that they complemented each other in a strange and unpredicted way.

The first transformation is close to being my favourite because I love the variety of the fonts, sizes, emphasis placed on certain words that made it more a play on words and separate the words from each other to form different meanings altogether. I also love that I'm trying to find the meaning of the work and what was my friend thinking and yet the differences are subtle but effective.

The second transformation was a contrast compared to the first transformation because the words that were highlighted were uniform in style and really discussed that the information available via the Internet is about hierarchy and power and is shaped sometimes to fit certain interests, so the idea of the Internet as a dump isn't a good comparison.

Last and third transformation was really interesting and again really took a different direction entirely. The image makes me think of an ancient ruin place and the idea that something is forgotten but was there. If you compare the Internet to a garbage dump maybe you can see the link of those items that are in the landfill and that belonged to someone isn't of use or value to that person anymore.

I was lucky that my friends that did these sent their projects back really fast, but it can be a hassle when you're waiting on that email and you don't have time. The thing is what takes a few seconds to process like the sending and receiving an email can differ to real-time which was a major issue. The reason is that real-time sped up even faster to me because I had so many other things due that even if I looked at the work when it was sent to me, it was really a quick peek. I also think that made the instantaneous speed of the email become ineffective.

If I could do this project again, I don't think I would be as hesitant to decide to who I wanted to send it to you and to really let it be more random in my choosing and give it enough time for the work to develop and to allow more time for the process and sending and receiving. I think that sometimes I might have rushed the process by wanting and asking the work to be sent back as soon as possible, but I was afraid that I wouldn't have enough time( real-time) to do it and I didn't.
